Work in progress Wednesday & yarn along

As I said yesterday, I'm working on a giant granny square that issupposed to be a blanket.
I use 100% acrylic yarns in fall colours. I wish I add some yellow and orange colors to it, but tahy didn't have acrylic yarns in colors I liked in my local Hobby Craft store :( I guess next time I have to look on ebay...

Right now I'm working on 31st row of the blanket :) It's so time consuming!
I also started to read "50 shades of grey" by E L James. I've heard very bad opinions about this book from my friends so I'm not to keen to read it, but I'm going for it anyway. I can't say I don't like something if I don't know it ;)

Have a nice day! :)

Wavy scarf

Couple of days ago I finished my scarf :)
It was my first try with waves and I'm happy that I didn't make many mistakes - I miscounted once and I had to make up few stitches where they shouldn't be, but thankfully this pattern is so nice that you can't tell that something went wrong when you look at it ;D

Then, I was curious how this pattern will look like as a Cup Cosy, so I made one in Christmas colours :) This time my counting was good and I didn't make any mistakes :)

Now I'm working on a giant granny square in autumn colours - it's supposed to be a blanket. So far I have 27 rows. I thought that since I'm pregnant and I have so much free time now, I'll finish it in 3-4 days. I couldn't be more wrong... I didn't realize how long it takes to make it! Now I hope I'll finish in 3-4 weeks ;)

Have a nice day! xx

Crochet Cup Cosy

I'm trying different patterns for my mug warmers. I don't want to use only applications to make them looks different, I want to play with the patterns first :)
So far I came up with this:

I hope you like it :)
Obviously it's available in my Etsy shop :D

Cup Cosy

I made my very first Cup Cosy!
I didn't have a pattern idea in my head and I couldn't find any interesting pattern on the web so I decided to try simple half treble crochets in Christmas colors and see what it will look like. And I really liked the final effect! :)

I was so proud of it that I decided to put it as my very first item for sale in my Etsy Shop! :)

Have a nice weekend! xx

Yarn along

Hello!

This is what I've been reading for past 6 months - one chapter every week :)
The orginal title is "Up The Duff - The real guide to pregnancy" by Kaz Cooke.
Now I'm reading "week 30" and I'm crocheting a scarf for myself:

If you are pregnant and you are looking for a GOOD book that will tell you a lot about being pregnant and answer every possible question you may have - this is it!
And, of course, "What to expect when you're expecting" by Murkoff Heidi and Hathaway Sandee - this is a must have, especially for the first time mums!

crochet - fingerless gloves

Hello! :)
I must say I fell in love with crocheting! It's very addictive :D

For the begining I made the easiest thing I could think of - fingerless gloves.
Here's my first ones:

Just simple double and treble crochets.

Then I tried something a bit more difficult - two colours :D
Also simple double and treble crochets. Plus a crochet flower on top :)

And third ones, my personal favourites: double crochet and puff stitches :)

On the left one I need to re-sew the bottom button...

And as I burned my index finger two days ago I can't crochet right now :( Hopefully it will heal soon :) So now, instead of crocheting, I spend my time cross-stitching :)
I bought this set in my local Hobby Craft store:
I hope I'll finish it before Christmas ;)

Wish you all a nice day!

Good morning, starshine... the earth says hello!

Hello!
I always loved crafting - sewing, cross-stitching, scrapbooking, etc. but never really lost myself in it. I used to create for couple of weeks and then I stopped for months. I made some pretty awesome stuff in the past but I have no photos of it, nothing is left at home, it probably ended up in trash... So now I decided to make this blog to keep a record of my "crafts" ;)
Last week I started to learn crocheting so I think it's the best time to start a blog - in couple of months I'll be able to see my improvement (or lack of it :P) in crochetnig :D

So, for a good start a bit of cross stitching :) In last "The world of cross stitching" there was a gift - Fizzy Moon card kit :)
I only stitched the Fizzy Moon as I didn't like the idea of the card too much. I'm proud of myself, because the last time I was cross-stitching was good couple of yeas ago ;)

Have a nice day! :)
